*SPOIL FREE REVIEW*Where do I begin?Why don't I start with the fact that this book is a marriage between ghost hunting, corporate domination, and a murder mystery. If that doesn't get your attention, then keep reading.This is a highly charged book full of twists and turns, as well as some of the coolest characters I've ever met. Mr. Cardinal is downright wicked in that "he could be my best friend of destroy me" kind of way, while the relationship that is built between Winter Walker and the ghost hunter is fundamentally perfect. This is a story about redemption, finding new purpose, and exploring the aspects that define friendship.Bautz is a phenomenonal and extraordinary storyteller, and while I cannot recommend his other work enough, this one is my favorite. It takes some classic genre-defining elements and spins them in a unique take that I've never read before. I cannot recommend Bautz enough.

A tense, edge of your seat thriller that has a pretty unique take on the paranormal, ghost hunting and the darker side of too big to fail corporations. Winter walker is a very captivating MC and I’m excited for the rest of the series!
